Why I buried ex-customs official, daughter alive ─ suspect

The Lagos State Police Command on Monday paraded a 64-year-old native doctor, Alhaji Olatunji Azeez, who confessed to have killed a retired customs officer, Mrs. Angela Kerry, and her 10-year-old adopted daughter, Obiagulum, on May 10, 2014.

Report has it that on Monday that the decomposed bodies of the woman and her daughter were found in Azeez’s house in Ire Akari Crescent, Ajuwon Akute, Ogun State by operatives of the Lagos State Special Anti-Robbery Squad. The police subsequently marked the building as a kidnapper’s den.

Azeez, an Oyo State indigene with three wives and five children, said he was forced to kill the customs officer and her daughter after she threatened to kill him over a sum of money.

He explained, “I have been a trado-medical doctor for about 30 years, but I knew Angela over five years ago. She initially came to me for protection from family attacks. One of her friends called Lizzy introduced her to me. The relationship began to grow, and she kept patronising me for one thing or the other.

“Then, about three years ago, she mentioned her barreness problem, adding that the daughter that was with her was adopted. I was shocked. But when she told me her age, I told her it was impossible to make her pregnant. But she insisted that prophets in the churches she went had assured her she would get pregnant.”

Our correspondent learnt that Azeez later lied to the woman that she would get pregnant and collected N9m from her for the job.

Azeez added, “I did the normal concoction for her, but it didn’t work because of her age. But I collected the money because I knew if I did not, she would go to where they would collect it. After some months without result, she came to my place to complain. She then demanded a refund, but I told her that I could not repay it. She then began to threaten me. Within a month, I tried to repay N2.5m. On that fateful week, she came back for the remaining N6.5m.

“It was Saturday, May 17. She came with her daughter and insisted that she wanted her balance. She said as a retired customs officer, she could kill me if I didn’t pay back the money. Then I thought, I must kill this woman before she killed me. The hole at the back of my house was not built for killing. It was dug for drainage during rainfalls.”

Azeez added that he went to the backyard, covered the hole with a white cloth that Angela normally saw in another shrine in his house.

He said, “After we talked, we moved with her daughter to the place. I said she should kneel down on the mat with her daughter. She did so and fell into the pit with her daughter. The operation was successful because no member of my family was around in the house.

I then began to cover the pit up with sand. I poured in roughly 50 buckets of sand. The following day, I got two bricklayers to cement the portion. But I had first taken out the belongings she brought.”

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, stated that the police had concluded their investigations on the case, adding that the native doctor was going to be charged to court for murder.

He said, “The woman and her daughter were reported missing on May 10 at the Oko Oba Police Division by the family.

“Azeez was eventually arrested through a tracking device installed on the victim’s Toyota Camry. Azeez, an herbalist, had hypnotized the woman for a long time. He had taken over N200m from her both in cash and property. We discovered he cleverly constructed a well in his house, lured the woman with her daughter into the room, and buried them alive.

“We were able to recover the decomposed bodies of the victims from the well. We also picked their property which was buried along with them. We have finished our investigations, and he will be charged to court for murder. We will leave the rest to be decided by the court.”

Tuface Sues Soft-Sell Magazine, ICON Weekly, For N100million

Popular Naija musician Tuface is suing ICON Weekly magazine for libel over the story they publish alleging that he impregnated a female banker in Lagos, just few months after his elaborate marriage in Dubai.

Sources at the Ikeja High Court just said the Media/Entertainment Law Firm of L&A – Legal Consultants has filed libel proceedings on behalf of Innocent “Tuface” Idibia against the soft sell magazine, Icon weekly, praying the Court to award their client the sum of N100,000.00 (One Hundred Million Naira ) being damages for the libelous publication posted on the magazine’s online and print platforms.
You will recall that sometime in March 2014, a story went viral; alleging that Tuface committed adultery and impregnated yet another woman, this time his account officer in one of the new generation banks and that infact, the lady had every intention to keep the baby...

Apparently, the story turned out to be completely false and only concocted by Icon weekly to drive traffic to themselves/boost sales. (A cheap publicity stunt which may end up costing the magazine dearly) We tried to contact L&A – Legal Consultants and 960 Media to shed more light on the matter but they declined commenting.

However a source close to both organizations stated that “it is unfair for anyone to tarnish someone else’s image in order to make profit” the source said further that “ a lot of these soft sell magazines and blogs must learn to verify stories before publishing as they may be very damaging to the innocent victim”.

The false story was said to have made Tuface loose a very lucrative deal and caused ripples between him and his wife. As at Friday we understand that ICON weekly had approached Tuface’s team for discussions on a possible out of court settlement.

Man Sets Wife Ablaze For Giving Birth To Only Female Children

Somebody need to tell this man that it was wetin he "pissed in" that his wife pushed out after 9 months:
Mrs. Monica Nwakpuke, a middle-aged woman, barely escaped the cold hands of death when her husband, Paul, allegedly hired assassins to set her ablaze for giving birth to only female children for him.

The culprit, Paul, a patent medicine dealer, who hails from Ebonyi State, was alleged to have hired assassins to kill his wife because she could not give him a male child. The assassins were said to have trailed the woman to her father's house where she was taking refuge over the lingering case of the male child issue, with the purported plan by her husband to eliminating her.
“Three men laid ambush for Monica in the night waiting for her when she came out to use the toilet and when she eventually came out that night, the attackers rushed and grabbed her while one of them slapped her repeatedly on her face before forcing her onto a standby motorcycle and sped off.”

The attackers doused her with fuel, then set her on fire and left before she was taken to the hospital where she is said to be battling to stay alive.

The victim's younger brother, Mr. Sunday Nwigbo, said for the past 12 years when Paul impregnated Monica when she was a student of Enyi Community Secondary School in Ikwo, there had been no genuine love between the husband and wife. Nwigbo disclosed that Paul became furious with his wife because she only gave birth to female children without a male child.

Another source said that Monica was brought down from the motorcycle, stripped and blindfolded after which they poured fuel on her and set her ablaze. “When they discovered that she had been severely burnt to the extent that she may not survive it, they abandoned her and ran from the scene,” the source added.

She is receiving treatment at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki. The husband is said to be on the run.

LUTH workers suspend strike

LAGOS—NORMAL medical services will today resume at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, Idi-Araba as the doctors and other workers; yesterday suspended their action that brought healthcare delivery services to a halt at the nation’s foremost health institution.
The health workers under the auspices of Joint House unions and the Association of Resident Doctors, ARD, LUTH branch, had embarked on an indefinite strike since  June 2 to press home their demands.
Confirming the strike suspension ,President of the Association, Dr Omojowolo Olubunmi and spokesperson of the Joint House unions, Kehinde Adegoke said with the new development, all workers were expected to return to work today.
According to Olubunmi, the decision to suspend the strike was taken after ARD’s emergency meeting where the members unanimously agreed to suspend the strike based on positive response from the hospital management on most of their demands including the intervention of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, Federal Ministry of Health, LUTH Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Elders of the profession and other well-meaning Nigerians.
Reviewing progress made by ARD on its demands, he said the association was able to achieve more than 50 percent reduction in hospital fees for minor surgical procedures
According to him, “The hospital has also issued a letter on tenure of residency training to reflect August 2013 circular, and a commitment to implement immediately the expected circular from the Federal Government on the subject matter. Also, a list of new resident doctors in all outstanding departments and employment of house officers have been released. The management will also kick start a new close User Group (CUG) means of communication within the hospital.
“We were able to get the management commitment to ensure regular availability of materials, stationery, consumables and upgrade of infrastructure, and a communique that was jointly signed between the hospital management, our association and other unions in the hospital under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity that holistically addressed the issues.

Tanker crushes pupils of same parents

Tragedy struck in Osun State on Tuesday when a fuel tanker crushed two pupils of the same parents to death in Ikirun.

Our correspondent gathered that the two pupils were waiting for the bus of the private school they were attending when the tanker’s head detached and crushed the two pupils to death.

Eyewitnesses said that it took some hours before officials of Federal Road Safety Corps could hire a truck which lifted the truck on top of the pupils.

A resident of the town, who identified himself as Sola, told our correspondent that the accident was due to speeding.

The Unit Commander of the FRSC in Ikirun, Mr. Gabriel Esan, confirmed the accident in a telephone interview with our correspondent.

Esan said, “Two pupils were crushed by a tanker today. The accident happened on Ikirun-Okuku Road. We had to hire a truck to lift the tanker before we could remove the two pupils.

“One of them died on the spot, while the other one was badly injured but was still breathing when he was taken to a hospital.”

The FRSC boss appealed to motorists to ensure that their vehicles were in good condition before putting them on the road.

He also urged drivers against violating traffic rules, saying doing so would save many lives and would ensure decorum on the roads.

Gunmen kill 50 during World Cup TV screening

At least 50 people were killed when suspected Islamist gunmen in minibuses sped into a town on Kenya’s coast, shooting soccer fans watching a World Cup match in a television hall and targeting hotels, a police post and a bank, Reuters report.

Police said Somalia’s al Shabaab Islamist group was most likely to blame for Sunday night’s assault on the town of Mpeketoni, which lies on the Indian Ocean coastline that runs north from Kenya’s main port of Mombasa to the Somali border.

Somali website www.somalimemo.net said the Islamist group had claimed responsibility. It gave no details and the group’s spokesman could not be reached for comment on the assault, the latest in a spate of gun and bomb attacks in recent months that have hurt Kenya’s struggling tourist industry.

Kenya, which has blamed al Shabaab for previous attacks, had said it would be on alert during the World Cup to ensure public showings of matches were kept safe.

“The attackers were so many and were all armed with guns. They entered the video hall where we were watching a World Cup match and shot indiscriminately at us,” Meshack Kimani told Reuters by telephone. “They targeted only men but I was lucky. I escaped by hiding behind the door.”

The attack could heighten existing worries in other African nations such as Nigeria, which is battling the Boko Haram Islamist insurgency, that bars and other venues hosting World Cup match screenings could become targets.

Sunday’s assault is the worst in Kenya since last September when al Shabaab gunmen attacked Nairobi’s Westgate shopping mall, leaving 67 people dead.

After Westgate, Al Shabaab warned of more attacks, saying they were determined to drive Kenyan troops out of Somalia.

Gunmen free abducted sisters in Abuja

Two sisters, who were kidnapped by gunmen from their residence in Karmo, Abuja, last week, have been released.

The girls, Ejura and Unekwu Opaluwa, were said to have been abandoned by their captors at a location from where they found their way home on Tuesday.

It was not however clear if the family paid the N150m ransom that was demanded by their captors or not.

Security sources said they were released by their abductors following the pressure placed on them by security agencies.

it had been reported that the two sisters, Ejura and Unekwu Opaluwa, who were 23 and 19 years respectively, were kidnapped in the evening of Sunday, June 8.

The victims’ father, Samson, is a director of the Federal Ministry of Work.

The suspected gunmen had made away with the two ladies after they had raided the entire house and dispossessed the family of their valuables.

The attackers were said to have left with the two girls when they did not get as much money as they expected. The family had reported the case at the Life Camp Police Division in Abuja.

An uncle to the girls, Mr. Amade Opaluwa, had said the family was doing everything possible to ensure the release of the girls, adding that the kidnappers seemed unwilling to negotiate the ransom.

“The kidnappers have become very harsh lately in their conversations with the family. They are still insisting on the N150m ransom. Unfortunately, they do not allow us to talk to the girls. And also, we are not able to call them on the telephones, only they can call us,” he had stated.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Altine Daniel, on Tuesday confirmed the release of the girls, but said investigation was ongoing.

Photo: 486 Boko Haram Suspects Arrested In 35Hummer Buses

The first alleged move by the dreaded Boko Haram sect to penetrate Southern part of Nigeria was frustrated on Sunday as soldiers from the Asa Military Base of 14 Brigade, Ohafia Barracks, Abia State, arrested 486 suspected insurgents including eight girls.

The arrest was made same day bombs were uncovered and defused in a Winners Chapel church in Imo State. But the suspects claimed they were going to Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital in search of work.

They were arrested at about 2 am when their vehicles were intercepted by soldiers between Arungwa Junction on the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway and Imo Gate, the Abia State and Rivers State boundary.
They were said to be moving in a convoy of 35 Hummer buses when they were intercepted. However, two of the buses were said to have escaped arrest...

It seems these people may not even be connected in any way with the wicked Boko Haram sect.

Meanwhile, the Imo State Government has announced far reaching security measures, following the botched bomb attack targeted at the Living Faith Church, Winners Chapel, Owerri.

Announcing the eight-point measures in Owerri, after several hours of special security meeting with security chiefs and a cross section of Imo people, Governor Rochas Okorocha, said the government would summarily take over uncompleted buildings found to be hideouts for criminals.

“Uncompleted buildings in the cities in the state and environs without security guards, will be taken over by the government because criminals use them as hideouts”, Okorocha said.

The governor, who branded the security measure as “operation know your neighbour”, also ordered hotels in the state, to install security cameras and should on a daily basis, forward a list of all their guests to the Director of State Security Service.

“Trailers bringing food items from the North would no longer be allowed to come into the state at night but only during the day and the food items would be off-loaded at a designated place, off the state capital,” he said.

Fashola’s wife calls for e-learning in schools

Wife of the Lagos State Governor, Mrs. Abimbola Fashola
Wife of the Lagos State Governor, Mrs. Abimbola Fashola, has called on primary schools in the state to introduce e-learning for their pupils.

Fashola said that the primary school had become the best place to impact children with e-learning skills considering how fast the world was moving in Information and Communication Technology.

She said that the state government had always been supportive of educational enhancement through technology.

Fashola spoke during the official deployment of an e-learning technology device at Saint Saviour’s School, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

The device, christened ‘LearnPad’, is an exciting tablet computer built and designed by Avantis, specifically for use in schools and the classroom.

The device is a touch-sensitive tablet computer that provides a safe and simple way to access a vast range of e-learning content, including applications, websites and flash-based activities, as well as videos, music, e-books, documents and other digital curriculum content.

Represented by the state Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye, at the occasion, Mrs. Fashola said, “This is a wonderful innovation and commendable. I think it should be replicated in our schools.”

Oladunjoye said, “As time goes on, we will see how it goes. It is a thing about the budget, which we have to look into.

“We have a robust ICT plan for Lagos State, not just the schools. For instance, we have about 200 schools that are ICT-compliant and we are developing them in phases. Each term, more schools are added. It is an ongoing process and cannot be done in a day.”

She explained that the state believed that technology was already revolutionising teaching and learning and would buy into the St. Saviour’s model.

The Chairman, Board of Management of the school, Mr. Tom Ogboi, said the school had kept faith with the vision of the founding fathers by maintaining high standards for which the school is known worldwide, “even as the academic records are unbeatable.

“We are not beating our chest, but a beautiful legacy of 63 years is a great achievement. We are the first trust-not-for-profit school in Nigeria.

We led the way, shined the light for other private primary schools to follow. Today, we can look back and say without equivocation that we have made a positive impact on education in Nigeria.”

Ogboi said the school had excelled among its counterparts.

“We were the very first primary school to be Internet-compliant. We were the very first to have computer laboratory. We were the first to have a science laboratory.

“We were the very first to teach ICT as a core subject in Nigeria. We are also the first to teach moral instruction and music as core subjects. Our children sit for Trinity College London School of Music, London and they perform well.”

He added that what made the LearnPad technology different was that it was developed by educationists and teachers for the pupils.

“The experts and teachers have an understanding of the pupils and the classroom requirements and have gone ahead to develop this technology. Other systems were developed by scientists who did not have understanding of pupils and classroom environment.”

Ogboi noted that St. Saviour was the first primary school in Lagos to support public primary institutions through the donation of educational infrastructure to Lagos State schools

Afrinvest MD Drives Re-Launch of Rhodes Scholarship In Nigeria

Nigeria will, once again, be among beneficiaries of the Rhodes scholarship, the world’s most preeminent post-graduate scholarship scheme. Two exceptionally bright students will receive full funding, valued at between £40,000 to £50,000 per annum, to study at the prestigious Oxford University, United Kingdom.

Mr. Charles Conn, Chief Executive Officer of The Rhodes Trust and Warden of Rhodes House in Oxford, announced the re-introduction of the scheme during the 3rd Business Forum of the Oxbridge (Oxford & Cambridge) Club of Nigeria, facilitated by Afrinvest, at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja recently.

Conn explained that the Rhodes Scholarship covers all university and college fees, a personal stipend for room and board, health insurance and travel, as well as the costs of the Rhodes Programme including those of Rhodes House.
“Depending on the course of study, the total value of the scholarship could range from £40,000 to £50,000 per annum, with the average tenure for a Rhodes Scholar being 2.8 years and 3 – 4 years for PhD courses. Over time, up to four scholars in residence will be supported under each Scholarship at a total of approximately £200,000 each year per Scholarship, which is sustained by a 4% take rate on the endowment funds.”

Ike Chioke, Managing Director of Afrinvest and a Rhodes Scholar, is driving the 15-year campaign with the Rhodes Trust to reinstate the Nigerian award which led to Conn’s visit to Nigeria as a guest speaker at the Oxbridge Club Business Forum.

According to Chioke, “The Rhodes Scholarship is indeed a great opportunity for young Nigerian scholars to fulfill their dreams. As a beneficiary of the scheme, I am passionate about helping young people develop to their full potential through quality education and training. This is the surest way to secure the future of our country and the African continent as a whole.”

Nigeria was among countries from which Rhodes Scholars were selected until it was dropped in 1993 on account of political interference. To reinstate the Nigerian awards, the Rhodes Trust is seeking to partner with contemporary Nigerian philanthropists who share the desire to help identify and develop young leaders for Nigeria’s and indeed the world’s future. The Trust seeks to fully endow two Rhodes Scholarships for Nigeria to ensure that they exist in perpetuity, which requires £9m in funding or £4.5m for each one.

Established in the Will of Cecil John Rhodes, the Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate awards supporting outstanding all‐round students at the University of Oxford, and providing transformative opportunities for exceptional young leaders. A class of 83 Scholars is selected each year from 30 countries around the globe. The scholarship has been in existence for 111 years.

UPDATE: Why Police Pulled Out Of Emir Sanusi's Palace

After almost a week, men of the Nigeria police on Thursday ended their siege to the palatial official residence of the traditional ruler of Kano Emirate. Following the end of the siege, said to have been as a result of an order from above, preparations were being put in place to ensure that Sanusi, who had been ruling Kano from the state Government House since Monday, relocated to the palace.

Confirming the latest development, Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso's Director of Press and Public Relations, Baba Dantiye, said Emir Sanusi would move into the place within the next few days.

Dantiye also noted that since policemen had also been withdrawn from the Government House, Kano youths had taken over the responsibility of guarding the place.
“Patriotic young men are guarding the Government House now as a result of the withdrawal of policemen by the federal authorities.”
Dantiye wrote in a post on his Facebook page on Thursday. He also told Punch that, “I just got information that the police have left the palace. Preparations will now start to ensure the emir relocates to the palace.”

Update from Kano indicates that the new Emir will lead Muslims in Kano during the Friday Jumat prayers.

Also, Emir Sanusi on Thursday received the leader of Tijjaniyya sect in Africa, Khalifa Sheikh Isiyaka Rabi’u who paid him the traditional homage.

It is believed that the intervention of powerful Northern leaders have left the Presidency with no choice but to ask the policemen who have laid siege on the palace of Emir Sanusi to vacate immediately. Credible source in the city told us that strong warnings were issued against any interference with Sanusi by the agents and sympathizers of the Presidency for any reason whatsoever.

Consequently, calm has returned to Kano and the Emir of Kano Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is now in charge.

Nollywood has become boring –Jim Iyke

Getting Jim Iyke Esumogba for an interview has been a long chase. In-between movie sets abroad and running his foundation and some other business ventures, the actor has been busy.

The University of Jos graduate opens up on things close to his heart. Few know he was born in Gabon Libreville but not a few have dubbed him ‘Nollywood bad boy’. But love or hate him, he continues to stay afloat amidst several controversies.

While he admits that the controversies that usually trail him, were simply a creation of his public relations managers at the time, did pay off initially, it eventually spiralled out of control.

“I’ve heard that I deem myself something of a puppeteer and that I orchestrate these media maelstroms to maintain relevance and news. I wish I was that creative! The other side of the debate – the more discerning would argue – I’m a victim of PR machinery gone wrong. Perhaps my handlers in the earlier stages of my career saw a need to create an unfathomable media being that was as audacious as the characters I played in films.

“It caught on. Caused quite a stir, then quickly spiralled out of control. There were days when I wondered if I could have done something about it; like a campaign to state I was a different person. But then, the media loved it too much. It sold millions of movies. It sold papers. It also sold my privacy and peace of mind. I struggled for years to understand what it was doing to my psyche, my relationships, my family, my spirituality, “he reveals.

On why he has been somewhat out-of-touch with Nollywood of late, he says he is simply seeking for new challenges. He says of Nollywood, “Nothing was challenging anymore. It was too easy and too perpetual. It was too boring and too predictable. I had no room to pursue or hone other skill sets I had. I didn’t have time for extra curriculums like hobbies, family, and friends, personal and social advancements. Something had to give! After all, I was the guy that made 38 films in a year,” he boasts.

With his reality TV Show, Jim Iyke Unscripted, which is set to run for the third season, he declares, “It is the biggest celebrity reality show on the continent with over 10 million viewers. We did 12 countries in season one, another 10 in two. It’s the story of a man’s journey through his eyes and his words .If for nothing, to whom It may concern, I would have gained perspective and hopefully a better understanding of the idiosyncrasy that rules my day.”

While Nollywood is said to be a major contributor to Nigeria’s GDP, Iyke says the feat is not translating to progress in the long run. “Ours, if it isn’t oil and politics, then it isn’t attainable. They tie up funds in bogus and outlandish conditions and make bold and futuristic propaganda-driven statements as to how it is accessible to every practitioner that simply has to ask for the taking.

“The sad part is that the practitioners do not even recognise the most basic of their fundamental rights. How can you ask, when you don’t understand what you’re asking for? The ones that do understand and     fight to the helm of affairs are busy fighting each other and developing schemes to enrich their shallow pockets.”

And so will he ever consider vying for the presidency of the Actors Guild of Nigeria?

“I’ve had occasion where they tried to drag me into this unpredictable territory. I assure you categorically Nollywood politics holds no iota of interest for me.”

A conversation with the dark-skinned actor is incomplete without referring to his lover, Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari, whom he refers to as Skittles. Asked about the current status of the affair, he waxes philosophical, saying, “She (Nadia) is a solid down-to-earth woman. I’m a man that translates variables in ways many people find incomprehensible. We have embraced who we are and learnt to create our own world and expectations. We have ups and downs like every other couple.

“We have our strength and weakness as well. At the end of the day, rumours of break ups and make ups ought to abound. It really doesn’t matter. A relationship is a continuous work. Those that give up, perhaps weren’t committed enough. Those that go in for the long haul suck up and square up to the variables life throws at them. The people that judge harshly are obviously the ones that live far from their desired lives. We just live the best way we know how and leave the rest to the author and finisher of all things.”

Meet Nigeria's Youngest PhD Graduate: 24-Year-Old Olaoluwa

Anything is possible, once you set your heart towards it and pay the required price for the prize:

Olaoluwa Oluwadara, 24, has bagged a Ph.D degree in Mathematics at the just concluded 2012/2013 session convocation ceremony at the University of Lagos. Olaoluwa, who bagged his first and second degrees in Mathematics and Physics in 2007 and 2008 respectively from the Universite de Bangui in Central African Republic, graduated with a Cummulative Gross Point Average (CGPA) of 5.0 [first degree].

Olaoluwa’s feat supersedes that of Olabisi Adeyemi, a 26-year-old female who bagged a Ph.D with a CGPA of 4.98 in 2012 and Opeyemi Shodipe, 25 of Babcock University.

Speaking during the convocation, the Vice Chancellor of UNILAG, Professor Rahmon Bello, appealed to the President, Goodluck Jonathan,  to urgently intervene in the resolution of the over 10-month strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics and the Academic Staff Union of Colleges of Education of Nigeria (ASUCEON).

He appealed to the Federal Government to consider the demands of the striking lecturers to ensure that students of the polytechnics and colleges of education resumed their academic works as failure to do so would be putting the lives of the leaders of tomorrow in jeopardy.

He said the call has become urgent, "in the interest of students and to stem the falling standard of education and the increasingly degenerating infrastructure facilities worsened by the insurgency of Boko Haram."
