Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has promised to meet the 40-month
completion deadline for the full rehabilitation of Apapa/Oshodi expressway in
September this year.
Managing Director of the company, Mr. Wolfgang Goetsch, in
an interview with Vanguard at the company’s 44th Annual General Meeting, AGM,
in Abuja, said: “I can tell you that
Apapa/ Oshodi expressway is ongoing, in line with our contract, ahead of
schedule.
“I sympathize with users that have to use this road on a
daily basis with harrowing experiences on that highway. We are sure that the project will be
commissioned in September this year.”
Goetsch, who assured motorists and other road users of the
company’s commitment to complete and deliver the projects at the stipulated
time, pleaded with Lagosians to bear with the company for the next three and
half months.
Traffic gridlock on Apapa/Oshodi express road, due to slow
construction job of the road by Julius Berger as commuters spend several hours
on the road .
